Re: Formula One
well we're voting for teams not drivers, right? so i stick with McLaren, nothing to do with their drivers, more what they've done... if it was drivers i'd really struggle, maybe DC as he's had a hard few years but still managed to use his experience to get some good results, and also for the chin an institution is falling next weekend
Re: Formula One
It'll be weird without DC... He got his F1 seat when I was 4.
He's commentating for the Beeb next year though, right? Should be HE-larious. I always thought they should have a pay-per-view, over 18s commentary with DC and Eddie Irvine. It'd be hysterical.
In terms of drivers, I'm supporting Nico Rosberg. Mainly cos he drives for Williams, but he's a good kid and, given the car, a cracking driver.

Re: Formula One
got to respect hamilton for his single lap driving at least, he beat hill and mansel's times on a wet track on top gear, but races like 2 weeks ago show he's not matured enough yet, tho massa wasn't much better, and alonso seems to be a master of the toy out of the pram driving style at times, for next season i might agree with rosberg as kubica seems to be a nob
Re: Formula One
If Kimi gets his attitude together next year then i will be completly behind him, But im also really looking forward to see what Vettle can do, lets hope he gets a decent car caompared to this years red bull!

Re: Formula One
ah I forgot about the torro rosso guys, if they were to get a really competitive car at the start of the season it would be interesting, also button should have no excuses with his car next season considering the developement being piled onto it
Re: Formula One
Should be a nice open season, what without Ferrari and all...

Re: Formula One
FIA GT... And Le Mans. But thats not the same. It'll kill F1 stone dead if it goes through... I like A1GP, but I don't need two!
Re: Formula One
It's not just Ferrari though, it's most manufacturers. Without Ferrari, F1 could continue, strictly speaking. But force the heart out of the system, and the whole thing will fall on it's face. The rules as-is are already tying everything up far too much. Then again, that seems like a fairly well-known FIA penchant.

Re: Formula One
What do you think about the new medal system?
In my opinion it should stay as points but 1st should have a bigger difference between 2nd. And also the points should go down to 10th

Re: Formula One
It is the worst idea anyone in F1 has had since ... erm... well its just awful
I can see a lot of teams that don't make the top 3 often becoming dissilussioned with the sport if this happens, at least they had a chance of a few points a season to show for their troubles, but if at the end of the season they haven't managed a podium and so medal, they may as well have come last in every race, sponsors wont like a team that has nothing to show for the money they've paid in. the medals system will look good to mclaren and ferrari's chances for championships, but i doubt the idea is popular with a single team on the pit wall.
I suppose it could be a good idea if you like to watch crashes... but i like to watch racing, not kamikaze tactics.
Whats happening to F1!
This is ridiculous! first super aguri fold last year now Honda are just about to go and apparently Williams and Toyota have no money either!
They may just have to change the cars to Go-Karts! maybe with Honda selling up this could give ProDrive the oppertunity to finally run a team!

What? What bollocks. He's a pure racer. No bullshit with him. Probably my favourite F1 driver.
